Inspiration : Opportunities In Adversity.

Helen Keller who was born in the year 1880 became deaf, dumb, and blind shortly after. She believed she would learn to speak although she had lost the power of speech, her hearing, her eyesight as well. Her faith restored her speech and provided her with the equivalent of hearing, through the sense of touch, thus proving that belief can and will find a way to the realization of human desires.

Keller's name features prominently in the whole world. In the motivational cycle, hardly would speakers and writers finish speaking or writing without the mention of her name.Despite her adversity, she has written her name indelibly in the pages of history. She raised funds by her books and lectures for the training of the blind and other charitable causes. In her words " The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse ".

If you were Helen Keller, would you've accepted defeat ? Would you've given up on life and probably go begging as others do ? Helen Keller was once asked, " What would be worse than being born blind ? " She replied, " To have sight without vision. " Why not take life as an adventure, exactly what Keller did ? According to her, "Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. "

I have often maintained that the best competition should be with yourself.Never compete with another fellow.Never compare yourself with any other person.Make use of that which God has given you.Helen Keller observes, " Instead of comparing our lot with those who are more fortunate than we are,we should compare it with lot of the great majority of our fellow men.It then appears that we are among the privileged. "
she went on to say, " I thank God for my handicaps for without them i could not have succeeded." She also affirmed " Everything has its wonders even darkness and silence.I learn that whatever state i may be in therein to be content."

When it seems failure or adversity has overwhelmed you, remember the advice of Helen Keller " Be of good cheer.Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You will succeed if you persevere, and you will find joy in overcoming obstacles.Remember,no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost. "

Dear Friend, you have to maintain a positive attitude always,no matter the circumstance just like i am doing.Your attitude is what says yes when every other thing is saying no.
